MYCO Medical is a distributor of medical products, that has been in the industry for 29 years. MYCO sees its mission as enhancing the safety and efficacy of medical devices across the U.S.

Challenge

MYCO Medical struggled with an inefficient ordering process that required a lot of manual work and was exposed to human error.

The key project goals were to:

  • Enhance customer ordering
  • Streamline the back-end processes for products, prices, and customer management
  • Improve the visibility of sales and revenue

Solution

MYCO teamed up with FortéNext to build a new eCommerce website that could showcase the latest additions to the MYCO portfolio and provide comprehensive product information for its customers and partners. FortéNext created a B2B Commerce portal that facilitates ordering for MYCO's distributors and streamlines internal sales & marketing workflows.

Key deliverables

Automated registration process for ordering a sample.

  • Users who select the “Request sample” option don’t wait for approval from the MYCO team. They see the Sample Products category up until MYCO transfers them to a purchasing buyer group, which will give them access to more products for negotiated pricelist.

Logic for the checkout

  • Allows skipping payment and tax calculation section for ordering a sample.

Custom PDP page

  • Allows auto-scroll to the main features/specs and manages product specs by adding/displaying value once it is entered on the PDP.

Preferred delivery date feature

  • Customers can add a preferred delivery date at the checkout and the system stores it within the order for the MycoMedical team.
